May 2011: I stayed here recently with my immediate family and can't recommend the apartment enough. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated throughout, the ceiling fans provided a welcome relief from the heat :). The subway was less than five minutes walk away and approx 15 mins into Manhatten so don't let the fact that the apartment is not on Manhatten put you off! Brooklyn itself has lots of character and we enjoyed finding places for brunch which took in the local culture. Finally Emma was great, very helpful and considerate so all in all should i come back to NYC then I would not heistate to rebook here.

We stayed in the apartment for one week in April and had a fantastic time. The apartment is well appointed and located ideally for subway access into Manhattan. Emma was a fantastic landlord and gave plenty of advice on things to do, transport etc. Highly recommended - we'd definitely like to return.

Petit séjour à New-York entre Amis! Nous avons séjourné avec 3 amis du 31 décembre au 7 janvier dans un des 3 pièces que loue Emma (la propriétaire), appartement fonctionnel et propre à seulement 2 minutes d'une station de métro, soit 25/30 minutes du centre de Manhattan! La maison se trouve dans un quartier calme, commerces à proximité et surtout une propriétaire très sympathique et disponible pour répondre à toutes vos questions.Cette location est vraiment un bon plan et permet de découvrir la grosse Pomme d'une autre façon. Une chose est sûre, nous y retournerons!

December 2010: Apartment was great. Really well heated and clean, not to mention very cosy too. Emma is incredibly personable which was ideal being somewhere we didn't know. Neighbourhood was fine too - the locals fine helping us with directions etc and easy routes into the centre. And to quote everyone else, if I wasn't staying in Manhattan then I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Emma!

"We spent a whole dream week in NY from the 26th of December to the 2nd of January. Located 2 minutes walk from the nearest train station, we were among the few happy ones to visit the big Apple for this apartment was one from which you could reach Times Square within 20 minutes even when there is a snow storm in NY and nobody can move !. Very clean, warm and well furnished, the apartment has welcomed our family (6 members aged from 18 to 60). I suppose there is no such a good place to stay in NY (at least in Brooklyn). I only can warmly recommend it. To stay in this quiet area within few minutes train (or bus) from Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan is the best thing to do : you live in a quiet and cheap place considering the fact that you have many shops and small restaurants in the area and you can reach the high spots of NY very easily. The owner is nice and helpfull, you feel home and on holly day in the same time. As we decided with my family, if we can come back to NY, that's a place in which we would like to stay for sure.

We were a group of 5 students and spent one week in New York. We found the flat very convenient, perfectly equipped and very nice. In addition, the metro was fairly close, just 5 minutes walk. The supermarket was also next door. Last but not least, the owners, Emma and James were very friendly to us. Whatever the problem you may encounter, they will be happy to help you! I truly recommend this apartment to anyone wishing to visit New York

September 2010: I rented one of the apartments with 3 other friends for 11 days and we had a wonderful stay. The apartment was spotless and can easily accommodate 4 adults in the two bedrooms. We got fresh towels and clean sheets every 3 days from Emma. It's ideally located with Franklin metro station (A-C and E lines) just 5 minutes by foot. The neighborhood is clean, the people are very friendly and we never felt unsafe. On the second day of our holiday we were even invited to the neighborhood bbq. Unfortunately we had already made plans for the day. Emma was very helpful in arranging transport and giving dinner recommendations. There is a great Thai restaurant 4 minutes away by foot who also do excellent sushi rolls. I can't remember the number of times we went to get sushi at 22:30h as a late night snack. Also nearby is a 24 hour laundromat who do full service including folding for a reasonable price (15 lbs of clothes for 11.90 U$D). Dropped of at 08:00 and picked up at 23:00h. So, it's clean, it's comfortable, it's very affordable and it's location is excellent. Would I come back? Absolutely Thank you Emma for a great stay.

We have just stayed in the studio apartment this september and found it very comfortable with everything we needed including a coffee maker, fridge, microwave and iron. It is in a perfect location for Manhattan which we found it very easy to travel to and from everyday, with 2 subway stations nearby. Emma and James were extremely helpful before and during our stay, willing to answer any questions that we had. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone wanting a great quality holiday at a budget price in NYC.

We have just stayed at the studio and found it perfect in every way. Emma was very helpful to us on our first visit to NYC and the location was easy to access Manhattan and all other districts. Would recommend this accommodation to all and everyone. Just a perfect stay with a perfect host. Would definately stay there again .

I stayed in the apartment as winter turned to spring and enjoyed the fantastic sunlight in the mornings, the quiet, the friendly neighbourhood and Emma's kindness.
